Survival Tips for Anno 2025

The 2025 areas are a significant departure from the original game balance. Everything has been scaled to a much higher level; if you are not prepared for the "New Meta," progress will be nearly impossible.

WARNING: If you aren't a Dual Guild class that scales with your own stats or creature health, you may want to join one of those guilds now or reconsider your path. You have been warned!

Class Viability

Currently, only a few classes have been confirmed to scale effectively in these high-stat zones:

• ManaMages: Confirmed to scale well (Source: Vivi).
• ShadowStalkers: Confirmed to scale well (Source: DrSatan).
• Hunters: Confirmed to scale well (Source: Ketheric)(except for Time Machine area… )
• Others: Effectiveness is currently unknown.

The Importance of Alignment

In the early game, monster alignment was negligible. In 2025, it is mandatory to match your gear to the enemy.

• Equipment Swapping: Expect to switch gear for almost every individual monster.
• Neutral / Void: This is the most common alignment. Ensure you have rings and armor from Elemental Void ready.
• Ashax Armor: Obtaining Ashax armor from Chaos is highly recommended as it provides multi-alignment defense, reducing the need for constant swapping. If you can't get Ashax, at least try for 3 elemental resist pieces from Chaos.

Survival & Gear Management

• SoulBinding: SoulBind every piece of equipment. If you die without SoulBinding, the loss of your rings and gear in this difficulty bracket can be a "game-ender" due to the extreme farm time required to replace them.
• Safe Zones: Beach 2025 and Outskirts 2025 are generally the safest areas to practice alignment matching.
• Training Alternatives: If the main path is too difficult, try training in the Zoo, Circus, or Café Au Lait.
  • • • • The Zoo has a 2-hour limit and requires a Zoo Ticket.
        • The Circus is experimental.
        • Café Au Lait scales with your level but provides less XP.

Progression Advice

• Wall Score: If you break 1 million Wall Score, you have essentially "beaten" the game. This is extra content that is just extra challenging.
• Alternate Paths: Don't get stuck. Most areas have both a fighter path and a mage path—if one is blocked by stat requirements, try the other.
