Animal Holdings

Introduction

The Animal Holdings is a subsection of the Shilla Zoo that is accessible after doing the main quests in the Zoo. The monsters here are scalable as well, which means the monster levels will vary with your level as well.

Make sure you use Consider when trying to kill things here.

Completing all the quests and killing the 2 end bosses gives you 10 extra Zoo tickets and 20 Carbonite.

There are sections like the Zoo where you need Large Keys(explained below), to access Elite zone areas which give Misc items with % bonuses to your stats.

Since this is part of the Zoo, your Zoo ticket timer will continue to run the entire time you're down here.

Animal Holding - Giant Rats

Kill 120 Pest Rats. The location is the middle part of the Southern pathway.

Animal Holding - Giant Bats

Kill 140 Giant Bats. The location is the SW corner of the map.

Animal Holding - Wretches

Kill 100 Wretches. The location is in the middle of the map, on the West side.

Animal Holding - Moulds

Kill 90 Gloom Moulds. The location is in the Northern part of the map, with the dead end.

Kill 110 Cerberus. The location is in the NE part of the map, following the Northern Pathway.

Kill 130 Charnel Fiends. The location is in the NE part of the map, following the Southern Pathway.

Keys

As mentioned earlier, there are holding cells that require Large Keys to enter. The monsters here are like the ones in the Zoo, except Elite versions that give better equipment and are stronger.

Key Quest order

  • White, Green, Orange and Aqua can be done first without needing other quests done.
  • Lime needs the Green completed.
  • Yellow needs the White completed.
  • Red needs the Orange completed.
  • Bronze & Blue need the Aqua completed.
  • Gold needs Yellow and Orange completed.
  • Silver needs White and Bronze completed.
  • Black needs Green, Red and Blue completed.
  • Purple needs Red and Blue completed.
  • Magenta needs Gold and Red completed.

Key Forge Items

Armor and Food will be found either in the Zoo, or the Holdings area. Gems and Weapons may need to be found outside those 2 areas, and are listed.
Make sure you do the quests first, then forge the item afterwards in the Shilla Zoo Forge.

Final Bosses

After doing up to the Purple Large Key quest and all of the holdings quests, you can do the quest to defeat the Shade of Ironhall. It's a hard fight, with ideally Evil resist equipped and disease potions ready, once you defeat it, you can get 10 Zoo tickets as a reward. Ironhall is located in the NW part of the 4 square near the Southern Pathway.

Once that one is done, and you've completed all of the key quests, you can do the Defeat Lord Vornath quest. You can either fight the regular version in the SE corner of a 6 path walkway by the White section, or just walk north and to the NE part of the area, where it's a Grandmaster. Either way, the kill counts.
This one sucks and honestly I didn't feel was worth the time.
You're required to use a Wretch Dagger for the kill. You have 3 options:
1) Use your main weapon until you have it worn down enough to swap it out for a chisel. Might need to defeat it once with your normal weapon to judge how many rounds it takes, and then switching out near the end.
2) Finding Ice Scrolls and/or Ether Scrolls and using them while equipping your chisel. I did that with Vivi, may or may not work with everyone though.
3) Skip the fight, it's not worth it.

Note these quests are repeatable every month(30-31 days).
