Overview
Mount M is the area after Hell Pit. It can be accessed from the northeastern corner of the Baleful Swamp. You lose around 1,500 life/mana/fatigue with every step from the cold, and randomly "Fall down" for massive amounts of damage. A Charm of Watchfulness is all but required to train in this area. If you can get your hands on a dual Charm of Watchfulness and Warmth your loss is reduced by 75%. Of Greater is the best at 80% and a Lesser will cut the damage in half.
At the Summit you will find the Elite versions of creatures. South and down from the Summit is the group kill creature Boulder Hurler, and a mining spot.
Training
You'll more than likely grind Level 0 for a time after leaving the Hell Pit. While up/down training is possible in between the larger areas, players usually continue from there to Level 14. The next benchmark is Level 31 which is easily accessed by the portal in New Shilla. Players usually overgrind Level 31 to make the jump to Level 49. At this point you should be thinking about asking someone to send you some protection from Spirit creatures, such as Spirit Seal Rings or the Spirit Collar. These will help you complete the Evil Town quests, turn Shillatown into Evil Town, and gaining you access to Mean Town Guards or MTGs. MTGs are Spirit aligned as well so the rings will add protection to them as well.
Bp notes:
Mages will have it much different than melee.
Mages will first be able to 1-round as a group the M3-M5, M5-M7 areas. It is a lot of up/down movement, but with hotkeys it's not terrible. Just know if you go too far one way or another, you won't be able to 1-round M2 or M9 so be careful.
After that, you can work on getting to MM6-MM7, which is where the teleport from New Shilla will take you to.
From that point on, you can just focus on getting enough damage to kill MTG5 in Evil Shilla.
While AA makes a good point about the Spirit Collar and Spirit Rings, those items are way higher in ability to get and may not be reasonably possible for most to gather. Note that the Spirit Collar can only be made once every 2 weeks, and so if you die with one(and if that is a borrowed one), suspect that you are no longer friends with that person ;)

Note the weapon drops are extremely rare, as well as the Tier 33 gems. You may have better luck just going after Boulder Hurler if you're able to.
