Soulbinding

Introduction

Soulbinding is a newer concept in Shilla.

It allows you to take a weapon, or jewelry and make it so even upon death, you will not actually lose the item. It will stay with you as long as it is in your inventory.

This concept was added when late game items became very difficult to gather, so it rewards you for your hard work.

  • Weapons were only dropped by bosses and Gods, which could take days to get, plus enchanting 4 to 5 bonuses may take weeks.
  • Amulet quests are painful and tedious and can only be repeated every 1-2 weeks.
  • Elemental Rings have a very wide range of drops, and finding the exact one could take days of non stop hunting as well.

Items needed

Throughout the game you should end up with Sacred Spirit of <name>. They are random drops that happen by any monster who has an alignment to <name>. If the creature has no actual alignment, they will drop a Void Symbol. Void means neutral alignment. Store them when you can.

Once you can access New Shilla, you can do this quest.

Weapons

You will go to the Druid Temple and to the Spirit Shrine, from there go E and then N.

Once there you are asked if you have all 4 symbols. If you do, you can trade them for a spirit one all at once

Use that to imbue your weapon, the amount of gold needed is a hard 50% of whatever is the gold on hand + gold in bank. Then you should have a permanent weapon attached to you as long as you keep it equipped.

Note that if you manage to get the spirit symbol to drop from a creature with spirit align, you can just use that to soul bind directly without needing to do the quest described above.

Jewelry(Amulets and Rings)

The places you'll need to go to exchange items are:

Make sure you have the item equipped, and when you head there, it should offer to SB your item for 1% of your total gold between bank and on hand.
