Spells and Skills

Shilla Spells

Spells are used for offensive and defensive purposes in Shilla. They are very effective for their own reasons, but most of them you can only obtained by being a member of the Mage's Guild and its respective specialties.
General use spells you can obtain in Shillatown and the Elven Village.
Once you obtain any of the spell scrolls you can then train them at Shillatown's Spell Training Hut.

Max Spell Levels

Guild Spell Max Levels
Guildless All their spell levels combined, cannot go over twice their Intelligence. Also any one spell cannot go over their Intelligence.
Fighters All their spell levels combined, cannot go over their Intelligence.
Mages Any one spell cannot go higher than their Intelligence.
Thieves All their spell levels combined, cannot go over twice their Intelligence. Also any one spell cannot go over their Intelligence.

Some spells in Shilla also have alignments which effect the casting ability and effectiveness of each spell. You'll find the alignment under the appropriate section of spells below. Spirit-Aligned players are strong for all these spells.


General Use Spells


Mages Guild Spells (Mages Guild Exclusive)

  • Magic Shield Adds magical the level of the spell cast to your armor stat. Obtained in the Mage's guild.
  • Energy Shield Percentage of damage is moved from Health damage to stamina damage. Obtained in the Mage's guild.
  • Magic Arrow General Purpose attack spell. Uses Intelligence to determine base damage and number of "arrows". Obtained in the Mage's guild.

Attack Spells

  • Thorns - Tier 1 Earth Damage Spell
  • Tremor - Tier 2 Earth Damage Spell
  • Rupture - Tier 3 Earth Damage Spell
  • Quake - Tier 4 Earth Damage Spell
  • Force of Nature - Temporary Constitution buff equal to the level of the spell, also is an attack spell

Buff Spells

  • Natural Growth - Buffs Constitution stat (raises HP + Magic Grope for Earth Mages)
  • Force of Nature - Temporary Constitution buff equal to the level of the spell, also is an attack spell
  • Nature Protection - Like Magic Shield more effective, more expensive like a lot more, does not stack with Magic Shield.
  • Earth Glide- CanBurrow: +1 The duration of this spell depends on its level.

Skills

These are things you MUST have trained! (Get Mining as soon as possible, Treasure hunting will be useful at some point, and the others mostly pertain to once you are able to afford a player home.)
They allow you to find rare items that could turn out to be helpful to you for forging, and for use during gameplay.
After getting their scrolls you can then train them in the Skill Training location on the East side of Shilla Township.

Skills related only to player housesat this time* (23-Feb-2022 late game stuff due to gold and areas involved required)

  • Woodcutting from Goblin in the Outskirts starting area (Requires and Axe any Axe will do must be equipped!).
  • Digging Can be bought at the Beach Shop just south of Shilla Township. (Requires a Shovel which the Stone Crabs drop on Beach)
  • Cooking Purchased at Shilla Town: Book shop. (Requires Player Home with Kitchen)
  • Baking Purchased at Shilla Town: Book shop. (Requires Player Home with Kitchen)
  • Grilling Purchased at Shilla Town: Book shop. (Requires Player Home with Kitchen)
  • Mixing Purchased at Shilla Town: Book shop. (Requires Player Home with Kitchen)

Note: Wearing 2 Ring of the Black Mage rings (currently not in the game) increase the power of offensive spells by 10%.

Note: Wearing 2 Ring of the White Mage rings will increase the power of healing spells by 10%.

Note: Sub guilds now have respective bracelets that can be obtained from fighting respective bosses which increase that elemental schools spell damage by ??? (EarthSpellBonus:12)

Note: Wearing 2 Ring of Neutrality rings (currently not in the game) increase the power of travel spells by 10%.
